(9) Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur"an and indeed, We will be its guardian.
(105) And with the truth We have sent the Qur"an down, and with the truth it has descended. And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. (106) And [it is] a Qur"an which We have separated [by intervals] that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period. And We have sent it down progressively.
(4) A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens.
(6) Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful.
(17) It is Allah who has sent down the Book in truth and [also] the balance. And what will make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.
(1) Ha, Meem. (2) By the clear Book. (3) Indeed, We sent it down during a blessed night. Indeed, We were to warn [mankind].
(16) Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur"an. (17) Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. (18) So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. (19) Then upon Us is its clarification [to you].
Two men disagreed about a verse from the Qur’an, one said: I received it from the Messenger of Allah, and the other said: I received it from the Messenger of Allah. So they asked the Prophet (PBUH), and he said: The Qur’an is read in seven styles (dialects), so do not argue over the Qur’an, for arguing over the Qur’an is a disbelief.
Regarding the verse: {Do not move your tongue with it to hasten -memorizing- it} [Al-Qiyamah: 16], Narrator said: The Prophet (PBUH) used to go through an intense experience during the revelation, so he used to move his lips. Sa'id Ibn Jubeir said that Ibn Abbas said: I move my lips as the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to move His. Musa said that Sa'id said: I move -my lips- as I saw Ibn Abbas moving his lips. So then Allah revealed: {Do not move your tongue with it to hasten -memorizing- it. It is Our duty to assemble it and recite it.} [Al-Qiyamah: 16:17] Ibn Abbas said: Assembling it in your heart -hence memorizing it-, then -teach you how to- recite it. (So when We have recited it, -through Gabriel, follow along with the recitation) [Al-Qiyamah: 18]: listen to it attentively. {Then it is Our duty to clarify it} [Al-Qiyamah: 19] So it was after that, when Gabriel set off, that he recited it as Gabriel had recited it.
