Three Sunnahs -were established in situations that Barirah was involved in. One of the three Sunnahs was that when she was manumitted, she was given the option to remain with her -slave-husband or not, the second Sunnah was that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Al-Wala' is to the manumitter. The third was when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered while a pot was boiling with meat in it, but only bread and soup was brought to him. So, the Messenger of Allah said: Have I not seen a pot with meat in it? They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah, but that is meat that was given to Barirah as charity, and you do not eat what it given in charity. The Messenger of Allah said: It is charity for her and a gift for us.
A person manumitted by some people is -considered- one of them.
That 'Aishah wanted to buy a slave female to manumit her, so her family said: We will sell her to you on the condition that her wala' (manumission kinship) will be for us. So she mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and he said: Do not let that hinder you, for wala' is for the one who manumitted.
