Abu Burdah slaughtered [his sacrifice] before praying, so the Messenger of Alah (PBUH) said to him: Sacrifice another in lieu. Abu Burdah said: O Messenger of Allah, I only have a young shegoat -Al-Bara' said: I think Abu Burdah said: It is better than an older sheep. So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Sacrifice it in lieu, and it will not be sufficient for anybody else after you.
