I served the Prophet (PBUH) for ten years, and by Allah, he never said to me “Fie” or said to anything I did, why did you do such and such? or you should have done such and such.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was neither very tall nor short, neither extremely white nor dark-skinned. His hair was neither very curly nor completely straight. Allah sent him as a Prophet at the age of forty. He remained in Mecca for ten years and in Medina for ten years. Allah took his soul when he was sixty years old, and there were less than twenty white hairs on his head or beard.
A Bedouin came to the Prophet’s Mosque and urinated, so people rushed at him, so the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Leave him, do not bin interrupt him. Then he called for water and poured it over (the urine).
I am Muhammad, Ahmad, Al-Hasher (The Gatherer), Al-Mahi (The Eraser), Al-Khatem (The Seal), and Al-'Aqeb (The Last).
The Prophet's hair (PBUH) did not go below his ears.
Anas was asked: Did the Prophet (PBUH) dye his hair? He replied: The gray hair of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) had not reached the point where he needed to dye it. If I wished, I could have counted the strands of gray hair in his beard. However, Abu Bakr used to dye his hair with henna' and katam [a plant used for dyeing], and 'Umar used to dye his hair with henna'.
I have never touched silk or brocade softer than the palm of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and I have never smelled a scent more pleasant than the scent of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).
The Prophet (PBUH) came in to us and took a nap. He sweated, so my mother brought a bottle and started collecting his sweat in it. When the Prophet (PBUH) woke up, he said: O Um Suleim, what are you doing? She replied: This is your sweat. We mix it with our perfume, and it is the best of perfumes.
A man asked the Prophet (PBUH) [for charity], so he gave him sheep that were between two mountains. So the man went to his people and said: O people, accept Islam, for by Allah, Muhammad gives so generously that he does not fear poverty. So a man would come to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) seeking nothing but worldly gains, yet by the evening, his faith would become dearer to him, or more precious to him, than the entire world and everything in it.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was the best of people, the most generous of people, and the bravest of people. One night, the people of Medina were alarmed by a sound. So the Prophet (PBUH) set off towards the sound before anyone else, and then returned after having investigated it. He was riding a horse belonging to Abu Talhah, which was bareback and unsaddled, and he had a sword around his neck. He told the people: Do not be afraid, do not be afraid. And he said about the horse: We found it to be as swift as the sea; it is truly swift. Anas added: Before that, the horse used to be slow, but after that, it was never outpaced again.
A woman who had some issue with her mind came and said: O Messenger of Allah, I have a need. He replied: O mother of so-and-so, choose whichever road you wish. So he went with her, talking to her privately until she fulfilled her need.
O Allah, I hold a covenant with you that you will not break. I am only a human being, so if I have harmed, insulted, flogged, or cursed any of the believers, then make it a prayer, a zakah (purification), and a means of nearness to you on the Day of Resurrection.
