Juleibib was a man who would enter upon women, passing by and playing with them. I said to my wife: Do not let Juleibib enter upon you, for if he enters upon you, I will do so, and so. Narrartor added: If one of them had a daughter, the Ansar would not marry her off until he knew whether the Prophet (PBUH) was interested in her or not. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to a man from the Ansar: Marry your daughter off to me: The man said: Yes, it is such an honor. O Messenger of Allah, and a blessing of my eyes. The Prophet (PBUH) said: I do not want her for myself. The man asked: To whom, O Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (PBUH) said: To Juleibib. The man said: O Messenger of Allah, I will consult with her mother. Then the man came to her mother and said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is proposing to your daughter. The woman said: Yes, it is a blessing of my eyes. The man said: He is not proposing to her for himself, but he is proposing to her for Juleibib. The woman said: Oh Messenger of Allah, Juleibib marries my daughter?! She said that thrice, and then she said: No, by Allah, we will not marry her off to him. When the man wanted to go off to the Messenger of Allah to let him know what her mother has said. The maid said: Who has proposed to me to you? Her mother told her, so the maid said: Will you deny the command of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)?! Let me [marry Juleibib], for the Prophet (PBUH) would never fail me. So her father went to the Messenger of Allah and told him, and he said: She is all yours. So he married her off to Jaleiba. Narrator added: So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) went out on a battle. And when Allah grant them voctor, he said to his companions: Are you missing anyone? They said: We are missing so-and-so and we are missing so-and-so. He said: Look, are you missing anyone? They said: No. He said: But I am missing Juleibib. So seek him among the dead. So they searched for him and found him next to seven whom he had killed. Then they killed him. They said: O Messenger of Allah, here he is. He was next to seven whom he had killed and then they killed him. The Prophet (PBUH) came to him and stood over him and said: He killed seven and they killed him. He is from me and I am from him. He is from me and I am from him two or three times. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) placed him on his forearms and dug for him. He has no bed except the forearms of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Then he placed him in his grave and did not mention that he washed him [performed ghusl].
