The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered the mosque and there was a rope stretched between two pillars, so he said: What is this? They said it belongs to Zainab, she prays, but if she slackens or feels lethargic, she grabs it. He said: Untie it. Then he said: Let one of you pray as long as he feels active, but if he slackens or feels lethargic, then let him sit.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was asked which deeds are most pleasing to Allah. He said: The one that is maintained the most, even if it is little. He said: Commit yourselves to as much ritual work as you can afford.
A group of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) asked his wives about his private worshipping. Then, some of them said: I do not marry women, another said: I do not eat meat, yet another said: I do not sleep on a bed, and another said: I fast and I do not break my fast [fast everyday]. So, the Prophet (PBUH) stood up, praised Allah, and then said: What is the matter with people who say such things? As for me, I pray and I sleep, I fast and I break my fast, and I marry women. Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.
