Abu Talhah was the most wealthy of the Ansar in Medina, and the most of his wealth he cherished was Bayraha', which was facing the mosque, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to enter it and drink from its good water. When the following verse was revealed: {You will not attain righteousness until you spend of what you cherish} [Ali 'imran: 92], Abu Talhah went to the Messenger of Allah and said: O Messenger of Allah, Allah Almighty says in his Book, {You will not attain righteousness until you spend of what you cherish}, and and the most of his wealth I cherish is Bayraha', so I give it in charity and I hope for its reward from Allah, so spend it, O Messenger of Allah, the way you want. The prophet (PBUH) said, well done, that is profitable money. That is profitable money. I have heard what you said about it, and I think you should distribute it among the closest ones. He said: I will do, O Messenger of Allah. So Abu Talhah divided it among his relatives and cousins.
