While the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was distributing the spoils of Hunein, a man went to him and said: Be just. The Prophet (PBUH) replied: Verily I would be miserable if I am not just.

Verily, after me, there will come a people from my nation who will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will exit from the religion just as an arrow exits from the target and will not return to it. They are the worst of creation.

When the Haruriyyah (Khawarij) rebelled, and [narrator] was with Ali, they said: Verily there is no judgment except by Allah. Ali replied: A truthful word by which falsehood is intended. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) described a group of people, and I recognize their traits in these people. They speak the truth with their tongues, but it does not pass beyond them. Among them is the most hated creation to Allah. Aming them is a black man with a hand like the udder of a goat or the nipple of a breast. When Ali ibn Abi Talib killed them, he said: Look for him. They looked but found nothing. He said: Go back, for by Allah, I have not lied nor have I been lied to, and this happened two or three times. Finally, they found him in a ruin, so they brought him and placed him before Ali.
