I came to Mecca while I was in menses, and I did not circumambulate the Ka'bah or pace between Safa and Marwah. So I complained about this to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), and he said: Do what a pilgrim does, except that you do not circumambulate the Ka'bah until you are pure -from your menses.
Asma' bint 'Umeis gave birth to Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr at Ash-Shajarah (near Zthul-Huleifah). So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) commanded Abu Bakr to let her bathe and enter state of ihram.
I said: O Messenger of Allah, people will return with two rites and I will return with one. So the Prophet (PBUH) commanded Abd-Ul-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr to take me to Tan’ieem. He seated me behind him on his camel on a very hot night. I took the veil off my neck, so he began to hit my feet as if he was hitting the camel. I exclaimed: Can anyone see me?! So we ended up at Tan’eem. Then I entered state of Ihram for 'Umrah. Then I went back to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), while he was still in Batha', and that was the night of the departure. I said, O Messenger of Allah, should I not enter the House [Ka'bah]? He said: Enter the Hijr, for it is a part of the House.
