A vow does not bring the son of Adam anything that I have not decreed for him. But a vow throws him [son of Adam] into what I have decreed for him. I extract from the miserly [causing him to spend out of his wealth] through it [his vow]. So he will give me [through fulfilling his vow] what he had not given me before [without a vow].
