That a man came to the Prophet (PBUH), So he sent to his wives, but they said: We have nothing but water. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Who hosts this -man? Then a man from the Al-Ansar said: I am. So he set off with him to his wife and said: Honor the guest of the Messenger of Allah. She said: We have nothing but except the boys food. So he said: Prepare the food, light up the lamp, and when the boys want dinner, put them to sleep. So she prepared the food, lighted up the lamp, and put the boy to sleep. Then she went to the lamp as if she was fixing it, and she put it off, and they pretended that they were eating, and they both went to sleep on empty stomachs. Next morning, he went to the Prophet (PBUH), so the Prophet said: Allah laughed or was pleased with what you both did. Then Allah revealed the following verse: {...They give -the emigrants- preference over themselves even though they may be poor. And whoever is saved from the selfishness of his own self, it is they who are -truly- successful} [Al-Hashr: 9].

Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not harm his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.
