They testified that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade hollowed gourds, varnished jars, pitched vessels, and hollowed stumps. Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) recited: {...and whatever the Messenger has given you, take it. And whatever he has forbidden you from, refrain from it} [Al-Hashr: 7].
