My father passed away and left seven or nine daughters, so I got married to a previously married woman, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) asked me: Have you got married, Jaber? I replied: Yes. He asked: A virgin or a previously married one? I replied: A previously married one. He said: Could not you marry a young woman so that you play with each other and amuse each other? I replied: 'Abdullah [his father] died and left young girls, and I hated to get them another one like them, so I married a woman who would look after them and discipline them. So he said: May Allah bless you, or that is good.
