Al-Dahhak ibn Qais asked Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to recite on Friday following Surat Al-Jumu’ah. He said: He used to recite: (Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you?) [Al-Ghashiyah].

That the Prophet (PBUH) used to recite in Friday prayer: (Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High) [Al-A'la] and (Has the news of the Overwhelming Event reached you?) [Al-Ghashiyah].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to recite in Al-Fajr prayer on Friday (Alif, Lam, Meem. The revelation..) [As-Sajdah], and (Has there come) [Al-Insan]. On Friday prayer, he used to recite chapter Friday, and (When the hypocrites come to yo) [Al-Munafiqun].
