Abu Malek said: I said to my father: O father, you have prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, and Ali, here in Kufa, for nearly five years. Have they performed Al-Qunoot (in-prayer devout supplication)? He replied: O son, that is an innovation.
