Whoever prays a funeral prayer, will get a qirat -of reward, and if he attends the burial, he will get two qirats. A qirat is like the mountain of Uhud. Ibn Umar said: Be careful what you are saying. Narrator said: So they sent to 'Ai'shah -asking her- and she said: He is right.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) commanded us to do seven things: attend funerals, visit the sick, bless one who sneezes, accept invitations, support the oppressed, fulfill oaths, and return greetings.
