Museilimah the Liar came during the time of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and kept saying that if Muhammad gives him authority after him, he would follow him. He brought a large number of his people with him. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) went to him and brought along with him Thabit ibn Qeis ibn Shammas, holding a piece of palm frond. When he stood before Museilimah and his companions, he said: If you asked me for this piece, I would not give it to you, and you will not avoid the command of Allah concerning you. And if you turn away, Allah will certainly destroy you, and I see that you are the one I was shown in my vision. So, Abu Hureirah informed me that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: While I was asleep, I saw two golden bracelets on my hands. I was concerned about them, and it was revealed to me in a dream to blow them away, which I did, and they flew away. I interpreted them as two liars who would appear after me. One was Al-'Ansi and the other was Museilimah the Liar of Yamamah.
