You are all shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler of people is a shepherd over them and is responsible for them. The man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for them. The woman is a shepherd over her husband’s house and his children and is responsible for them. The man’s slave is a shepherd over his master’s property and is responsible for it. So, each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.

He who has been a ruler over [even] ten people, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with his hands shackled to his neck, till [his] justice sets him free or ruins him.
