The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made a deal with the people of Kheibar [to stay in their lands and cultivate it] in return of a half of the dates or crops they produce.
When people of Kheibar caused some of 'Abdullah ibn Omar's limbs to be dislocated, Omar stood up and gave a sermon and said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made an agreement with the Jews of Kheibar regarding their properties and said: We will let you stay as long as Allah wills. And 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar went to his properties there and was attacked at night, so his hands and feet were dislocated. We have no enemy there other than them. They are our enemy and the only ones we suspect. I have decided to expel them. When 'Umar decided on that, one of the sons of Abu-Ul-Huqeiq came to him and said: O Commander of the Believers, will you expel us when Muhammad allowed us to stay at our places, and made an agreement with us regarding our properties? 'Umar replied: Do you think I have forgotten the words of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH): How would it feel when you get expelled from Kheibar, and your camel is carrying you and running night after night? The man replied: This was a joke from Abu Al-Qasim. 'Umar said: You lied, O enemy of Allah. So 'Umar expelled them and gave them the value of what they had of fruit in terms of money, camels, and goods such as saddles, ropes, and other things.
