I used to perfume the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) for ihram before him entering state of ihram and upon concluding it before circumambulating the Ka'bah.

The Prophet’s wives used to go out with him, wearing bandages -soaked in fragrance oils. They would bathe and sweat while these bandages are on them, and he would not be forbid them from doing so whether before entering state of ihram or not.
