While I was sleeping, I saw that I was drawing water out of a basin to give people to drink. Abu Bakr came to me and took the bucket from my hand to give me some rest, and he drew out two buckets. There was weakness in his pull, and may Allah forgive him. Then 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab came to me and took the bucket from him, and no man drew water as he did until people left and the basin was overflowing.
I saw myself entering Paradise, and there was Ar-Rumeisa', the wife of Abu Talhah. Then I heard a rustling in front of me, so I asked: Who is this, O Gabriel? He replied: This is Bilal. Then I saw a white palace with a maid in its courtyard. I asked: Whose palace is this? He replied: It is for 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab. I wanted to enter and look at it, but then I remembered your gheirah (protective jealousy) 'Umar said: May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! Would I ever feel that way of you?!
