He heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) replying to a person who came to him, and said: O Messenger of Allah, what should I say when I ask my Lord? He heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when a man came to him and asked: What should I say when I ask my Lord? He said: O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, and provide for me. Abu Bakr came in to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and wanted to speak to him while 'Aishah was praying, so the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to her: You're better off with a comprehensive -or another word- [supplications]. When 'Aishah finished, she asked him about that, and he said to her: Say, O Allah, I ask you of all goodness, both soon and later, what I know of it and what I do not know. And I seek refuge in you from all evil, both soon and later, what I know of it and what I do not know. And I ask you the Paradise and whatever words or deeds bring me closer to it, and I seek refuge in you from Hell and whatever words or deeds that bring me closer to it. And I ask you for the goodness that your slave and Messenger Muhammad asked you for, and I seek refuge in you from what your slave and Messenger Muhammad sought refuge in you from. And I ask you for the outcome of what you have decreed for me to be good.
O Allah, You have made my creation good, so make my manners good
