The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) reclined at Milhan's daughter's. Then he raised his head and smiled. Milhan's daughter said: Why did you laugh, O Messenger of Allah? He replied: For some people of my nation who ride this green sea as raiders in the cause of Allah. They are like kings over thrones. She said: Make a supplication to Allah, O Messenger of Allah, to make me one of them. He said: O Allah, make her one of them. Later on, she married Ubadah ibn As-Samit, then she sailed in the sea with the daughter of Qarzah. Then on the shore on her way back, she rode her riding animal that dumped her, so she fell off and died.
Kisra (Khosrau the Persian king) will perish, and there will be no Kisra after him. Caesar (the Roman emperor) will surely perish, and there will be no Caesar after him. Their treasures will indeed be spent in the cause of Allah, and he [the Prophet (PBUH)] called war stratagem.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said when his uncle Abu Talib was mentioned in his presence: Perhaps my intercession will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be placed in a shallow part of the Hellfire reaching only up to his ankles, and causing his brain to boil.
When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) heard that Abu Sufyan was approaching, he consulted his companions. Abu Bakr spoke, but the Prophet (PBUH) turned away from him. Then 'Umar spoke, but the Prophet (PBUH) also turned away from him. Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah said: O Messenger of Allah, do you want [to hear] us?! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, if you commanded us to wade [with our horses] through the seas, we would wade through them. And if you commanded us to goad them to Bark al-Ghimad [distant place], we would do so. So the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) called upon the people and they set out [to the fight] until they reached Badr. Then the Quraysh’s water-carriers arrived, and among them was a black slave of Banu Al-Hajjaj. So the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) took him. They would ask him about Abu Sufyan and his companions, and he would say: I know nothing about Abu Sufyan, but Abu Jahl ibn Hisham, 'Utbah ibn Rabi'ah, Sheibah, and Umayyah ibn Khalaf are there. When he said that, they would beat him. When they beat him, he would say, Yes, I will tell you. Abu Sufyan is there. When they left him, they would ask him again, and he would say: I know nothing about Abu Sufyan, but Abu Jahl, 'Utbah, Shaibah, and Umayyah are among the people. And when he said that, they would beat him also! The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was standing praying. When he saw that, he finished his prayer and said: By the One in whose Hand is my soul, you beat him when he tells the truth and leave him when he lies. Narrator said: Then the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) then said: This is where So-and-so will be killed -putting his hand on the ground here and there- tomorrow. Narrator commented: And none of them missed the place where the hand of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was.
The best of you is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Narrator said: I do not know whether it was said twice or thrice. Then there will come a people after you who make vows but do not fulfill them, they betray and will not be trustworthy. They will testify, though they will not be asked to testify, and obesity will become widespread among them.
A man will come to you who is called Uweis. He had a condition of whiteness [leprosy], so he made supplications to Allah, and Allah cured it. So, whoever among you meets him, ask him to supplicate for Allah's forgiveness for you. So, 'Umar met him and said: Supplicate for Allah's forgiveness for me. So Uweis supplicated for Allah's forgiveness for him.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) pointed with his hand towards Yemen and said: Faith is here, faith is here, and verily cruelty and the harshness of hearts are in the loud crude bedouins, at the base of camels' tails, where the two horns of Satan will rise, at the tribes of Rabee'ah and Mudhar.
You will conquer Egypt, which is a land where "qirat" is mentioned. When you conquer it, be kind to its people, for they have a covenant and kinship, or he said, covenant and affinity by marriage. When you see two men disputing over a spot as small as a brick, leave the land. Narrator said: So I saw 'Abdur-Rahman ibn Shurahbeel ibn Hasanah and his brother Rabi'ah disputing over a spot as small as a brick, so I left the land.
