The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) got up when he was supposed to sit in a prayer. So he prostrated two times while sitting before the tasleem.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prayed Al-Zthuhr two rak'ahs and then made tasleem. They said: Has the prayer been shortened? So, he got up and prayed two rak'ahs, then made tasleem, then prostrated two times after tasleem.

Abu Sa'eed said about when in doubt -of the number of rak'ahs he prayed.
