(148) Allah does not like the public mention of evil except by one who has been wronged. And ever is Allah Hearing and Knowing.
(11) O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one"s] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers.
(1) Woe to every scorner and mocker. (2) Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. (3) He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. (4) No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. (5) And what can make you know what is the Crusher? (6) It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled. (7) Which mounts directed at the hearts. (8) Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them. I came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: O Messenger of Allah, we are a people of the desert. Teach us something with which Allah will benefit us. He said: Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is pouring water from your bucket into the vessel of one who is asking for water, or speaking to your brother with a cheerful face. Beware of trailing your garment, for that is a form of arrogance, and Allah does not like arrogance. If someone insults you for something he knows about you, do not insult him for something you know about him, for you will be rewarded, and the consequences are upon the one who said it.
Insulting/cursing a Muslim is wickedness/disobedience and fighting him is disbelief.
If a man says to another man: "You are a disbeliever", then one of them has incurred it. The one who was accused of such if he truly is, or the accuser.
