(14) Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.
(8) And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
When the treasures of Persia and Rome are opened to you, which people would you be? 'Abd-Ul-Rahman ibn 'Awf said: We say as what Allah has commanded us. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: Or something else! You will compete, then you will be envious, then you will turn your backs on one another, then you will hate one another, or something like that. Then you will set out against the poor emigrants and give some of them authority over the others.
