Some people from 'Ureinah came to Medina and were uncomfortable. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sent them with the camels of charity and said: Drink their milk and urine [as medicine]. They killed the shepherd appointed by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), drove away the camels, and apostatized from Islam. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) brought them and cut off their hands and feet on opposite sides, branded their eyes, and threw them into Al-Harrah field. Anas said: I saw one of them biting the ground with his mouth until they died.
The Prophet (PBUH) sent him to Yemen, then he sent Mu'azth ibn Jabal after that. When he arrived, he said: O people, I am the Messenger of Allah's Messenger to you. Abu Musa threw him a cushion for him to sit on. Then a man was brought who had been Jewish, converted to Islam, then became a disbeliever. Mu'azthh said three times: I will not sit until he is killed, as Allah and his Messenger have decided. When he was killed, he sat down.
